Owner & head coach

Laura Cascaddan

Commitment. Effort. Sacrifice. Laura’s mantra has always been “Lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way.” She lives the life she preaches and has spent 35 years moving mountains to change lives — through nutrition, exercise, proactively fighting disease, eliminating stress and toxic people, and living life to its fullest.

She’s a “no-bullshit” coach. It’s worked for her, for the members she’s trained in College Park, and for the competitors she’s taken to the stage: eight figure-competition wins and more than 25 years of stage experience of her own.

Ashley Bedell

Ashley loves helping people reach goals beyond anything they imagined — as their number-one cheerleader. She became an aerobics instructor in law school as an escape from the “law,” found running when the real world took over, and logged marathons in Tampa, Chicago and twice in Boston through a grown-up job, marriage and babies. Running is how she met Laura; SWEAT is where she became a certified Spinning® and group-fitness instructor. Sweating and smiling are two of her favorite things, and both are contagious.

What certifications do SWEAT’s trainers hold?

Between them: ACE and AFAA Personal Trainer and Group Fitness, Johnny G / Mad Dogg Athletics Spinning®, ACE Pre- and Post-Natal, Paul Chek Holistic Lifestyle Coach, nutrition and supplement education, and CPR/AED.

Can I pick which trainer I work with?

Yes. After your consultation we’ll recommend the coach whose style and specialty fit your goal, but the choice is yours, and you can switch.

Is Laura Cascaddan still coaching?

Every week. Laura programs every class format, coaches personal-training clients and teaches spin herself. SWEAT is owner-run, not owner-absent.

Which trainer should I ask for if I want to compete?

Laura. She has 8 figure-competition wins and more than 25 years of stage experience, and has coached competitors through prep, peak week and posing.

Which trainer is best for a total beginner?

Amanda specializes in safe, effective programming for people just starting out, and Ashley is famous for cheering first-timers through their first spin class. Take a free class and we’ll match you.

Do you coach athletes and sport-specific conditioning?

Yes. Laura writes strength and conditioning programs for runners, cyclists, competitors and weekend athletes, and Ashley (a four-time marathoner) coaches endurance. Tell us the event or sport and we’ll build the block around it.
