Personal training from someone who has done it for 35 years

A written program, a coach who watches every rep, and nutrition that fits your actual life. One-on-one or small group, at a private gym you can also use 24/7.

How it works

Consultation, program, accountability. In that order.

Personal training at SWEAT starts with a consultation at 727 W Smith St ($90, and it includes the plan), produces a written program built around your health history and goals, and is coached in person by certified trainers led by Laura Cascaddan, a 35-year coach and 8-time figure champion. Nutrition, pre/post-natal, sports conditioning and competition prep are all coached in-house.

  1. A real consultation

Choosing a trainer is an investment, so we start by listening: your health history, injuries, schedule, what you’ve tried, and what you actually want. Then we move. A short screen on the floor tells us more than any form.

  2. A custom program

Not a template. Sets, reps, cardio, recovery and nutrition written for you, with what to do on the days you’re not with your coach. It changes as you do.

  3. Accountability that sticks

Your coach logs your lifts, bodyweight and measurements, adjusts the plan when the numbers stall, and keeps you honest about the days between sessions. Our trainers each have a personal style, which is the point: we match you to the coach who fits you.

“Lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way. I live the life I preach. My main goal is to provide the tools you need to be the best version of yourself you can possibly be.”Laura Cascaddan, owner & head coach

Most members mix: two classes a week plus one training session is the combination we see work most often. Strength twice a week is also the CDC’s minimum for adults.

Straight answers on personal training in Orlando

How much does a personal trainer cost in Orlando?

Marketplace data for Orlando puts most trainers between about $35 and $90 an hour depending on experience and setting. At SWEAT a 30-minute session is $35, 60 minutes is $60 and 90 minutes is $100; duo, trio and group rates run $45 down to $25 a person. Packages bring the per-session price down, and 24/7 gym access can be bundled in.

Is personal training worth it if I’m just trying to lose weight?

Usually more than anything else you can buy. A coach removes the two things that stall most people: not knowing what to do, and not doing it consistently. We program your strength work, set your cardio, fix your nutrition and check in weekly. In our experience the biggest change usually shows up in the first two to three months, once the routine sticks.

What happens in the first session?

A $90 one-on-one consultation: your health history, injuries, schedule and goals, then a movement screen on the floor. You leave with a written plan: how many sessions, what you’ll do between them, and what we expect to change by when. If you’d rather meet us first, your first class is free.

Do you train beginners, or only athletes?

Both, and everyone between. Amanda specializes in safe, effective programming for people starting out; Laura has taken clients from their first workout to a competition stage and writes conditioning blocks for runners, cyclists and weekend athletes. We match you to the coach that fits.

Can I train while pregnant or after having a baby?

Yes. Laura holds the ACE Pre- and Post-Natal certification and programs both stages safely: strength, mobility and core rehab that respects what your body is doing. Always with your doctor’s clearance.

Do you do nutrition coaching too?

We do. Laura is certified in nutrition and supplement education and trained as a Paul Chek Holistic Lifestyle Coach. Nutrition is built into training packages, not sold as an afterthought.

Can you get me ready for a figure or bodybuilding show?

Yes. Laura has 8 figure-competition wins and 25+ years of stage experience, and has coached competitors through prep, peak week and posing. If you want to compete, this is one of the few gyms in Orlando where the head coach has actually stood on the stage.

Is small-group training cheaper than one-on-one?

Yes. Small-group training splits the coach’s time, so it costs less per person while keeping the program individual. Couples and friends train together often. Ask us which fits your goal.

Do I get gym access with personal training?

Ask us about bundling 24/7 member access with your training package so you can do your programmed work between sessions. See memberships for how classes, access and training combine.
